FAQ about 3D AIR
You will find all the information you're looking for right here.
-This product is a pre-sale item, with a shipping timeframe of 65-90 days, and will not exceed 90 days at the latest (calculated from the date of payment).
- The goods will be shipped from China, and the logistics method that can deliver the fastest to the corresponding region will be prioritized, such as DHL, UPS, FEDEX.
- Let's first talk about some subtle differences between the 3D AIR SMART and 3D SMART MINI:
- The installation, setup, power supply, usage method, and weight-bearing capacity are the same for both.
- The size and weight differ, with a 100g difference between the two.
- The adjustable IOD (Interpupillary Distance) range varies: the SMART version supports adjustments from 0 to 60mm, while the SMART MINI version supports adjustments from 0 to 46mm.
- The shooting angle is different: the SMART version supports a widest full-frame 24mm angle, while the SMART MINI version supports a widest full-frame 32mm angle.
- There are 4 optional packages for 3D AIR: PD-3DA-S, PD-3DA-SM, PD-3DA-SP, and PD-3DA-SPM.
1. Packages ending with "M" include the synchronized focusing system, while those without "M" do not.
2. Packages with "P" refer to the SMART version, while those without "P" refer to the SMART MINI version.

- The LiDAR module is primarily used to detect and scan the distance to the subject, enabling automatic focus tracking and stereo depth adjustment through the system's intelligent AI algorithm.
- The effective working range of LiDAR indoors or in low sunlight environments is a maximum of 5 meters, with a scanning angle of 28°. In direct sunlight, the scanning distance is reduced to 2.5–3 meters.
- Auto focus tracking relies solely on the closest subject detected by LiDAR as the focus reference.
Automatic stereo depth adjustment relies solely on the farthest subject detected by LiDAR as the depth adjustment reference.
- The 3D AIR has a built-in 3D image processing system that receives video signals from two cameras via a Micro HDMI cable. After processing, it outputs FSBS, HSBS, or Anaglyphic 3D formats through the Micro HDMI. For the fastest 3D monitoring, we recommend using a 3D monitor or AR glasses for direct viewing. Alternatively, you can monitor the 3D effect on a standard monitor in Anaglyphic (red-blue) format.
- Yes, you can. Simply set the automatic mode to manual control, and you can adjust the IOD distance using the controller.
- Currently, the 3D AIR does not support frame synchronization or synchronized recording. You can use the native app from your camera brand or third-party tools to meet these needs.
However, with today's high-resolution and high-frame-rate cameras, frame synchronization and synchronized recording during initial shooting can often be overlooked. Just ensure you shoot at the highest frame rate supported by your camera (at least over 30P). In post-production, you can use audio synchronization features to achieve soft frame synchronization for the footage from both cameras. Without any additional software or tools for frame synchronization and synchronized recording, the synchronization error for 60P footage can be as low as 0.01 seconds, which is imperceptible to the naked eye.
- The 3D AIR has a weight capacity of 2KG per side, making it compatible with most mirrorless and DSLR cameras, as well as compact cameras available on the market.
Lenses with thread sizes ranging from 42mm to 82mm are supported. We recommend using manual lenses for optimal results, although any lens is fine for photography.

- Yes, both the 3D AIR and the synchronized focusing system are powered by independent, replaceable batteries. The 3D AIR also features a USB-C port, allowing you to connect for extended shooting time. Each battery for the synchronized focusing motors can last 6 to 8 hours, which is more than sufficient for your shooting needs.
- When the synthesizer function is not activated, the battery life of the 3D AIR can last up to 6 hours; with the synthesizer on, it lasts about 2 hours.
- The warranty period for the product is 1 year, excluding damages caused by human factors or other external influences. The warranty period starts from the day the customer receives the product.
If the product is unable to function properly due to logistics issues or inherent product defects, we will fully cover the costs to replace parts or provide a complete set as compensation to the customer.
